Work Bins is a great tool for organizing your inbox. Emails can be assigned to a Work Bin when they are being sent or after they have been received. Once an email is assigned to a Work Bin all subsequent replies and forwards will be automatically assigned to that Work Bin. The Work Bin name will be displayed in a column in your Inbox and Sent Items folders.

What is a Work Bin?
A work bin is a place to store all the "stuff" you use and create as you work. Each user is able to define their work bins based on what makes up a unit of work for that user (Basecamp and Apollo HQ users automatically get a work bin created for each project they are associated with). Once the work bins are created the user can store all their emails, notes and documents in the appropriate work bin, giving them the ability to organize all their "stuff" in one place.
Work Bins integrates seamlessly with two of the leading online project management platforms (Basecamp & Apollo HQ), to help users manage their tasks and publish email conversations without interrupting their workflow. When connected to Basecamp or Apollo HQ, Work Bins will automatically create a work bin for each of the active projects the user is a member of. Once a work bin is created for a project, the following features are available within Work Bins.
Note: When the content of an email is posted to Basecamp or Apollo HQ, all email attachments are uploaded and associated with the Discussion or To-Do Item.
Connecting Work Bins to Evernote creates a stack of notebooks in Evernote called "Work Bins - Active". Inside the stack is a notebook for each active work bin. Notes inside of these notebooks will be accessible and editable via the collapsible Work Bins region added to the right-hand side of Outlook.
Connecting Work Bins to Box.com is what unlocks the true potential of Work Bins in a team environment. Using Box.com as a cloud repository, Work Bins automatically starts backing up your email, notes and documents in an organized fashion. This gives team members the ability to share content and collaborate with others all from within Outlook. Quickly get new team members up to speed by sharing your notes, documents and/or emails for any work bins they will be members of. When an employee leaves the company their work bins can be shared individually so that those who will be taking over their responsibilities can make sure that nothing falls through the cracks.
